Spacious home-from-home

About Kaya Vadi House
This spacious residence has the bedrooms downstairs for coolness, and the kitchen, dining area, lounge and terrace upstairs to take advantage of the views. Every room in this house is air-conditioned.

The Bedrooms
On one side of the house there is the master double bedroom with a twin bedroom next to it. On the other side of the house there is another double bedroom with a single bedroom next to it. The master bedroom measures about 5 meters by 5 meters, and it has an en-suite bathroom with large, walk-in shower, WC and double sink. The adjacent twin bedded room has an en-suite shower room and WC.

The other double is also very spacious and has plenty of room for an additional single bed if required. It has a large en-suite shower room and WC, and a small “kitchenette” with fridge and tea-making facilities. This room also has its own front-door which makes this house perfect for a family travelling with another couple or, perhaps, grandparents.

The single bedroom is comfortably furnished with a chair and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, but does not have en-suite facilities.

The Kitchen and Utility Room
There is a huge kitchen with a leather sofa and an 8-seater antique dining table made from an ancient Ottoman hand-carved door. The kitchen is superbly equipped with CD player, oven, hob, microwave, big fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee percolator, toaster and ample crocks, glasses, pots, pans and kitchen utensils for 8 people. In addition there is a utility room with a washing machine, basin and WC.

The Lounge
The large lounge measures about 5 meters by 7 meters and has 4 pairs of double doors which open out to allow cool breezes and views over the gardens to the mountains. There are two 3-seater settees, two armchairs, a big television with satellite link and DVD player with a small library of DVD’s and books which you are welcome to use.

The Terraces
Arguably the best feature of this remarkable house is the upper terrace, reached by walking through double doors from the kitchen area. This is a large space, open on 3 sides, and is half roofed so you can choose to sit in the sun or the shade. It is equipped with a dining table and chairs and a built in BBQ.

The upper terrace enjoys views over the gardens and the green valley to the pine forested mountains beyond. On the ground floor there is another large terrace with numerous planted pots and a swing seat.
